About This Game DEAD IN VINLAND is a survival/management game, mixed with RPG and adventure elements, about a Viking family trying their best to survive on a mysterious island.Exiled on a faraway and unknown land, lead Eirik and his family on their quest to survive.Manage their physical and mental health, explore the island, organize your camp and deal with other human beings. Some will help you, and some will be less... friendly.Unveil the esoteric mysteries of Vinland. They could save your life… or lead you to your demise.KEY FEATURES Deep survival management simulation : find and gather resources, secure a supply of food, take care of the mental and physical health of your characters, fight diseases and wounds, ration your water supplies, endure the elements (storm, drought, rain…). Challenging: the game is turn-based so you have time to take the best decisions, but the challenge is high! You’ll have to adapt to the crisis the game throws at you, with your own reasoning. 3 modes of difficulty: if you just want to enjoy the story, we added an easy mode and, for the crazy lunatics, we added both an extreme difficulty and iron man mode, that even the developers of the game can’t beat! Build your camp: expand your shelter with 18 activity stations, each one with its own mechanics. Craft more than 130 upgrades and dozens of items to give you precious bonuses. Choose well, you won’t be able to craft everything. Manage a community: 14 playable characters, each one with their own strengths, flaws and stories. Influence how their relationships evolve with meaningful dialog choices, achieve one of the 7 possible romances or kick annoying characters from your camp and recruit new ones. And some surprises! Explore the island: 150 areas to discover with hundreds of objects to interact with. Unveil the many secrets of the island and its beautiful, hand-painted landscapes. Don’t just survive, settle: you can hunt, harvest, fish… but you can also grow a garden and breed sheep! Advanced camp stations with special mechanics. Live your own adventure: complete 70 non-linear quests to reach the end of the game. Depending on your choices, learn about what happened to your characters after the end. Animosity and tribute system : be “welcomed” by the infamous tyrant Björn Headcleaver and his merry band of robbers. Bend the knee and pay him weekly tributes, or rebel… and face the consequences. Full RPG system: 5 health states to care for, 20 skills to develop, more than 600 character traits, 100 items to collect, 30 diseases and 20 wounds to die from… Customize your characters: choose from 5 randomly generated special traits every time they level up. Turn-based tactical combat: quick and deadly 3 vs 3 battles against Björn’s minions. 5 unique playable character classes, each with its own set of fighting skills, and 5 passive classes. HUGE content: more than 150 000 words - twice the size of the first Harry Potter book - telling a mature yet humorous story.           DEAD IN VINLAND is the second installment in the “Dead In…” universe, after DEAD IN BERMUDA. The two games are standalones, but you’ll learn a bit more about the secrets behind these strange islands and the general background in each game of the series. 1075eedd30 Title: Dead In VinlandGenre: Adventure, Indie, RPG, Simulation, StrategyDeveloper:CCCPPublisher:Dear VillagersFranchise:Dead In Games, Dear VillagersRelease Date: 12 Apr, 2018 Dead In Vinland Download For Pc [cheat] dead in vinland ps4. dead in vinland egill. dead in vinland find a curse. dead in vinland allies. dead in vinland thor. dead in vinland find new insults. dead in vinland wake up. dead in vinland game review. dead in vinland companions. dead in vinland killer. dead in vinland patch 1.1 download. dead in vinland how to reduce depression. dead in vinland angelico. dead in vinland 3dm. dead in vinland game. dead in vinland characters guide. dead in vinland all characters. dead in vinland youtube. dead in vinland reeking elof. dead in vinland combat. dead in vinland cd key. dead in vinland 1.11 torrent. dead in vinland end game. dead in vinland skull tree. dead in vinland norse side stories. dead in vinland xp. dead in vinland ancient wisdom. dead in vinland final boss. dead in vinland abandoned boat. dead in vinland update codex. dead in vinland v1.2 trainer. dead in vinland kill gudrun. dead in vinland best combat traits. dead in vinland ox. dead in vinland tips and tricks. dead in vinland walkthrough. dead in vinland day 200. dead in vinland review. dead in vinland orichalcum bead. dead in vinland old woman. dead in vinland download igg. dead in vinland ash heap. dead in vinland free. dead in vinland njall. dead in vinland rotten bull head. dead in vinland bored blue man. dead in vinland strange lights Well this one is going into my favourites category. I ended up buying the dlc's for full price because after about 5h of gameplay I realised that there was no way I was not going to finish this one on the first go.I'm 50h in and I am about midway through the game.IMHO this game is way more addictive and fun than its predecessor.Once I finish this and pat myself on the back, I hope the 3rd one will be out already :). Dead in Vinland is once of the best games I've played in a long time, and my first review in years,It creates a dark and realistic viking setting, where your goal is to survive. The struggle is brutal and real, all while dealing with very intense social dynamics between your villagers. You start with 4, and gather others (more options than what you can have, so every game and situation is different). You're forced to pay tribute and manage them all. I consider myself an excellent strategy gamer, but lost after 8 hours but was okay with it and excited to try again. The struggle was real, quality artwork and rough decisions. Constant micromanagement to excel, with a satisfying conclusion.Quality of Life tip I found out too late - Right click water or food, then give to villagers so you're not dragging it one at a tiem.If you love viking settings and strategy, GET THIS GAME. Dead In Vinland's Future - Roadmap: Hello survivors! So, Dead In Vinland has been out for almost 3 months now (whaaaaatt?? already?! We could have sworn it was just yesterday…), and the response from the players has really been great. So, first of all: thank you all!!Since release, we didn't take a break: we released many patches, hotfixes, and the BIG 1.1 patch that we released last month, which addressed the most important feedbacks from the community. We're rather pleased with the state of the game right now, however, we don’t want to stop there. When we released Dead In Bermuda (in 2015), we wished we could have made more post-release content, but due to design and technical constraints it was not possible. So, when we started development of Dead In Vinland, we had this in mind, and didn't made the same mistake. We CAN make new content for the game, and - that's what this post is actually about - we WILL!We checked the forums, we checked the ideas coming from the Feature Wishlist thread, and some of our own... and we can now officially announce that we will be working on at least 3 DLCs for Dead In Vinland! And free updates, of course. We made a little roadmap, let's check it out:ROADMAP DETAILS. What is going to be in the upcoming 1.1 Patch?: For those who missed the blogpost on our website yesterday:Hello survivors! That’s it, we’ve released the game! HAAAAAAAAAAA!It’s been only a few days since release, but we’ve already done 3 quick patches to correct some urgent things. But now that the game is in a state that we are happy with, we’ll start working on some bigger free patches. We want to let you know what to expect. The next step for us, and the topic of the 1.1 patch, is all about quality of life improvements. A number of good ideas have popped in the forums, ideas that for the most part we had towards the end of the development, but couldn’t implement in time. As you may have seen, the game is HUGE for a small team like us, so it was already a big challenge to release the game in time (but we did it!)So, let’s get to the point! I’ll detail here some of the big and small features we’ll be working on: Speed up the game! We’ll increase the max range in the speed-up options. We’ll see how high we can go without breaking the game, but with that you won’t need a “cheat engine” anymore to speed up things, hopefully 😉Skip mode for dialogs: we’ll add an option to speed dialogs REALLY FAST. Activable at any time.Instant text display: we’ll add a checkbox in the options menu.Quality of life with food/drinksWe’ll add a little shortcut to give erveryone who is Dehydrated a set amount of water ration. We’ll modify how the right-click works with food and rations, to enable players to magnetic drag “stacks” of food/water, and distribute them directly without having to go back to the item bar.Safety check when boiling waterYou won’t lose your fire anymore due to frenzy click on the boiling button 😉Level ups v2We’ll re-roll duplicates traits, so that you’ll have 5 different traits on any level up.We’ll force 1 battle trait and 1 management trait in the list. The other 3 will still be random. We’ll add an option to re-roll the list, in exchange of a negative trait for the character.Character management in the campWe’ll find a way to let you see in one glimpse which character is the best suited for a skill. We have several ideas for that.Send everyone to shelter shortcut: we already have an undocumented shortcut. We’ll make an option page with documentation for all keyboard shortcuts.Save deployment presets, and load them at anytime.Add a character quickly to a slot with a key press.Inventory filtersYou’ll be able to filter your inventory, showing you how many food, resources, healing items you have in stock.Post battle XPWe’ll see if we can do it without breaking the balancing of the gameAnimosity gauge feedback (When you don’t give your tribute to Elof)For now the animosity level is hidden. We may add a feedback on its increase/decrease to give players a better understanding of what is happening.RNG (random number generator)This one is tricky, because we can assure you that there is no “bug” or “hidden agenda” in the random number generator. It’s pure random, like dice throws: each throw is completely independent. Let’s take the example of rolling a 6-sided die and trying to get a result between 2 and 6 (only 1 is a fail). This has 5/6 chances of happening, which is roughly 83%. Now, if we roll this die several times, you’ll see that it can definitely happen that you fail your roll more than once in a row, even several times (or even the opposite, never fail!).But we understand it can be frustrating to some people who are not accustomed to pen & paper RPGs… We’ll try to find some ways to have IN SOME CASES a random number which would take into account the “statistical chances”.In any case, we’ll be very cautious with meddling with the pure random generator we have now, because it could break apart MANY things. Right now, the game is intentionnaly focused on buffing/debuffing during battles, and having bad series of events giving you some difficulty spikes from time to time. We think that when you are accustomed to the game, it gives you some real fun having to deal with strokes of bad fortune. And even more sense of accomplishment when you succeed to overcome them.So that’s it, we’ll be focused on that for the coming days/weeks. I don’t have any ETA for the patch right now, we still have to see at which pace we can advance. But what I can say, it’s that we WANT to continue working on the game as long as we can with patches like this one. We won’t be able to do EVERYTHING, but we want to give Dead In Vinland the love it deserves. We also want to produce new content, both free and paid, but that is another story ^^We also want to thank all of you for supporting us by getting the game! And you seem to be enjoying it, which is really cool for us! We hope you’ll like what we’re going to do for the next updates of Dead In Vinland! If you liked the game, don’t hesitate to write a review on Steam. About the characters - Secondary Characters #1: Last week, we introduced our main protagonists in Dead in Vinland, the family that has been forced off their native lands. If you missed it, go take a look there: http://steamcommunity.com/games/573120/announcements/detail/3091029444970712518As they discover the island they run aground on, they'll quickly understand that they are not alone. They'll run into various inhabitants that will be either welcoming & warm or aggressive & violent. Here we'll focus on some of the characters that might join your camp. Those characters all ended up on this uncharted land for various reasons, some have fled like the family, others are here willingly. But they all have something to offer if you understand their strenghts & weaknesses!                                                We'll begin with Knut, who comes from a danish tribe of fierce warriors. He is married to Solveig. One cannot say that they were very lucky in life. Knut being forced out of the village warriors after he lost his leg during a fight, he became by necessity a bitter and below average blacksmith. He also became very despotic with his family. Then, their numerous children perished one after another to a typhus epidemic, none of them exceeding the age of twelve. One day, the Jarl’s guards stormed into his house and bluntly took Knut and his wife to the Jarl, to endure his judgement. They were expelled from the village, condemned to run as exiles as far as possible to avoid a certain death.Knut never accepted to explain to his wife the true reasons behind their exile.                                                Solveig comes from a danish tribe of hardy people. She is married to Knut. The youngest of a dozen brothers and sisters, the meals were scarce and the punishments were daily in her young days, but the joy of growing up in a large family always warmed her big heart. When she became of age, she married a strong and handsome warrior of the clan. Sadly, he wasn’t much home at first, leaving for months to rampage and pillage neighbouring rich shores, getting her pregnant each time he came back victorious. This life was not perfect, but at least she was able to have this big family of her own that her heart desired. That’s until most of their children died from a typhus epidemic and they got expelled from the clan with no apparent reason. They sailed away with their newborn child to a new, better life.                                                Gudrun is the Völva of the group. A Völva is a female shaman who can oversee the future and can make dark magic. She’s the only member of the group who arrived on the island who is here willingly. She had seen what was happening to Eirik and his family, but she also sensed some “defenses” coming from the island. She KNEW she had to come to check out the place. However, she’s not sure how she ended up here, as she only remembers waking up on the beach after searching for the island for days.Gudrun may seem old and useless, but she’s also a quick-witted woman, and a precious mystic during combat. What will her purpose be? Is she really seeing things related to the island, or is she just plain crazy? Now that you've learnt a bit about them, you'll be more prepared if you come across one of those survivors while exploring the island. See you next time for an introduction to the battle system in Dead in Vinland!. Dead in Vinland - Documentary 10: Interview #6 - Valentine: Hello survivors! We're almost at the end of the Dead in Documentary! Today, we present Valentine, game designer on the game, focused on integration & balancing!Hope you'll enjoy this new episode, don't hesitate to share it if you liked it or comment below!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4CNmiKBlF8Learn more about Dead in Vinland & all the little hands working hard behind it!See you next week & don't forget to follow Dead in Vinland in their social media there for more news:Follow on Twitter: https://twitter.com/deadingamesLike on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/deadingamesJoin the Discord server: https://discord.gg/HHgJT3NFor more news, check out the website: http://deadinvinland.com/. About the Characters: The Family: Through your journey into Dead In Vinland, you will have 14 playable characters to choose from. They’re not just generic protagonists, each has his own backstory, some secrets to discover and special dialogs chain with other inhabitants of the camp. You start the game with only 4 of them, a viking family exiled by force from their homeland. These are what you could call your main characters, on a system point of view. These characters are super important. If you lose one of them, the other ones lose faith and the group is torn apart, meaning instant game over. It will lead to many critical decisions, where the well-being of the family can lead to hard, “bad” decisions for the group, and vice-versa. Think of it like a cooperative board game, where some players have a special agenda of their own. You’ll need to know all about those 4 characters because this is their story after all! So let’s introduce them:Now that you know them a little more, you’ll need to take into consideration their personality, strengths / weaknesses, & their relationships to each other to try your best and survive on this uncharted island. Later, we’ll do a focus on the recruitable characters that aren’t introduced here. You won't have to keep them alive through the whole game but they but will greatly increase your chances of survival with their specific abilities & knowledge.. Replay stream #2 - Camp introduction: The replay from the second Playdius stream on Dead in Vinland is available! This time, Hama & Adrien introduce us to the camp, the different stations you can build using the craft system, and how it can improve the chance of survival of your characters in this uncharted island! If you wanna check it out or ask questions, feel free to join them on the next stream on: https://www.twitch.tv/PlaydiusGameshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2552UyXT7Os&feature=youtu.beThe following streams will be on:- April 5th - 12 A.M GMT+1: The map in Dead of Vinland- April 19th - 12 A.M GMT+1: Combat in Dead in VinlandSee you on Tuesday for the fourth episode of Dead in Documentary!. Features of the 1.3 Patch + DLC 2 Release Date!: Hello survivors, time to talk about the 1.3 Patch! We’re approaching release time! Let’s talk about the content of the FREE 1.3 patch coming live at the same time as the second DLC of Dead In Vinland. We are slowly coming to the end of what we possibly could implement into the game, so this patch should be the last major one.Honestly we totally went over the budget we had in the first place… but well, we wanted to go as far as we could with the concept of Dead In Vinland. We hope that in the end, it will have a lasting effect on sales and that the game will eventually reach balance, but that’s the subject of another blog post that I will make for the 1-year anniversary of the game’s release. But yeah, when I look at what is the game now and how it was when we first release it… There has been quite an amount of major improvements that I’m really proud of. After the 3rd DLC is released, I think I’ll be able to call it complete! But enough of that, let’s look at the features… There are actually 3 new major free features included in the 1.3 patch:Advanced Difficulty Options
